Two-Inch Nails

Holy relics, hoax, or wishful thinking?

Case closed, not.

This one is the weakest cases for a "relic" since the bone kept in a French church reputed to be Joan of Arc's rib turned out, via DNA analysis, to be a charred bone of an ancient Egyptian cat.

(The very few legitimate relics of Joan--other than a couple of signatures--were destroyed during the French Revolution--a hat and a hair, if I remember correctly).

The best candidate for a legitimate relic of Jesus may be the Sudarium of Oviedo (Spain). But the carbon dating results may be a bit shaky.
