OUR NIXON (trailer) from Penny Lane on Vimeo.
You saw it here first (unless you visited "The New Yorker"s blog before I did): Filmmakers Penny Lane and Brian Frye are making a Nixon documentary based on the home movies of the late H. R. "Bob" Haldeman and his operatives. Since they're now in control of Nixon's foundation, maybe this will end up being the new orientation film at the Nixon library.

If this becomes part of an introductory movie for the Nixon Foundation, the best PR move it could make would be to include the photo from The Inaugural Story of my sister and I -- two future NARA archivists -- at the Nixon Youth Ball in 1969. For all I know, we may be included in footage of the Inaugural parade as we stood along Pennsylvania Avenue to watch it in 1969.
I'm in the middle of writing a new blog post about archival advocacy and tactical issues so that sort of thing is on my mind right now.
I'm even going to preview my comments, which I usually don't do, to see if I can avoid all those awful typos that clutter my comments here. (Gotta trim some of my finger nails, LOL.)
