Fundamentally Flawed
Shame on Mike Huckabee for not slapping down a question about whether he thought the president was guilty of "some fundamental anti-Americanism."

Strange to see that so prominent a man whose Christian faith presumably is genuine understands so little about grace. Or if he does, he believes the GOP base won't stand for a show of it. Fascinating to watch so many prominent Republican talk opinionators act as if they are hostages to a base they portray implicitly as angry and irrational and unteachable and unreachable on matters of honor and integrity. Terribly insulting to GOP voters, in my view, to treat them as if that is what they are. And totally undermining of the image of the GOP as a party of values. Who would have thought people such as Huckabee and Gingrich and Palin thought so ill of their fellow Americans as to think that is what they demand. Sure, a small slice do, but why submit to them? We're supposed to be the land of the free and the home of the brave. Why is that being thrown away so recklessly? Weird.
