Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, a Democrat from Arizona, and at least 11 others were injured this morning by a gunman who plunged into a crowd at a public event in Tucson and began firing. The congresswoman's condition is unknown. The man was reportedly tackled by a witness and taken into custody. Some leaving comments at blog and web sites are already blaming Fox News and Sarah Palin. It's impossible to blame anyone besides the suspect without knowing something about him.O God, the strength of the weak and the comfort of sufferers: Mercifully accept our prayers, and grant to Gabrielle the help of your power, that her injury may be turned into health, and our sorrow into joy; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
