    And opposed the Equal Rights Amendment, the Fair Housing Act in CA, and said the Voting Rights Act was "humiliating to the South"

    Thanks, Robyn, and right on. I have a pet peeve about those who portray President Reagan as being even more conservative than he was as a justification for their own inflexibility and hyperpartisanship.
