Thanks to my bud Deb Zingales, whose daughter is somewhere in this scrum,
one of my photos from the March 7 mesothelioma fundraiser at St. John's Episcopal School in honor of Ken Bendix made it into the
on-line edition of the
Orange County Register. Reporter John Crandall
writes that the event raised nearly $3,200 to battle the disease. Crandall also relayed this wise teaching from the honoree:
"Remember to follow your dreams and don't be afraid to tell those around you how much you love them," Bendix said.
