First, he ha...I think that Nixon was of course GAY. First, he had separate bedrooms from Pat. He kept Bebe closer to him then his wife. They even went on vacations with the Cuban business man. Bebe was at his bedside when Nixon died. Christians forget to listen to the Nixon Tapes to hear a man spew hatred and was a fake and fraud all his life, just to obtain power. During the Watergate cover-up, Nixon has access to cash, so to say he wasn't mobbed up is to be clueless about the man

The Nixon family of course is not going to tell the truth about Daddy dearest, as they got money from UNCLE BEBE.

NIXON WAS ONE SCREWED UP PERSON. A QUAKER WHO BOMBED CIVILIANS AND A MAN WHO HATED ALL RACES AND ETHNIC GROUPS.
IF THERE IS A HELL, NIXON SHOULD BE THERE ALONG WITH HOOVER.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17575094865493883599noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5668712602334003954.post-6767247000370036082011-12-29T07:31:06.501-08:002011-12-29T07:31:06.501-08:00Thank you for your thoughtful comments.
You'r...Thank you for your thoughtful comments.

You're almost certainly right about the tape excerpt. I oversaw the Nixon estate's White House tapes review process for many years. Under its regulations, the National Archives wouldn't have withheld a segment in which Mr. Nixon said something that reflected poorly on him. This is amply reflected in the tapes that have been opened! The regulations did require archivists to withhold segments in non-abuse of power conversations that would embarrass living people. In this case, during the withheld segment of the conversation Mr. Nixon is probably referring, as you surmise, to gay associates.

As I wrote in my post, Nixon was no more homophobic than the culture of his time, and probably a little less. He compares favorably to Ronald Reagan, for instance, who sanctioned a cruel purge of gay aides in 1968.Fr. Pat's voice conveyed intimate affection for her husband and the very same can be said of the President. At one point the President was furious with Barbra Walters for embarrassing his wife, and called on an assistant to demand a reason for the slight, now that's a man who loved his wife!

I pray that all of President Nixon's friends and associates step forward to defend him at this time as you have Mr. Taylor, and I hope "Mr". Don Fulsom reads Romans 1 and notes the admonition against slanderers and realizes that he is storing up wrath for his own, personal day of reckoning in which all sins will be laid bare. - Donna ChristensenDJChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17145569421709101347noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5668712602334003954.post-27639863477400634502011-12-29T00:26:03.052-08:002011-12-29T00:26:03.052-08:00President Nixon has a good friend in you sir! Whe...President Nixon has a good friend in you sir! When I heard about this books imminent release and nature of the contents therein I braced myself. Perhaps you aren't familiar with Don Fulsoms website but I am. Your instincts are correct, the parts regarding Rebozo are related nearly verbatim from Anthony Summers book. And the information regarding a letter written by Danner to Rebozo is from one of the books written by James Reston or David frost regarding the interviews and comes from Brodie as well. It may not be plaugerism exactly, but where did Fulsom do any legwork? His entire website is a clearing house of rumor and speculation of all sorts. Perhaps it's time now after the smears on Washington, Lincoln and now Nixon for Journalism to marshal some integrity and put an end to this kind of tabloid pillorying of innocent public servants. I have spent several hours refuting these lies with just the common sense from all the information I have gathered from my readings regarding Nixon. For instance Pat might not have accompanied Nixon on all his trips to Florida, but Julie usually did, as did her husband and Tricia as well. This can be discerned from the presidential diary. Also, Don repeats the lie that Rebozo had only brief marriages, but I was given to understand that Rebozo was still married at the time of his death. His obit purports that a large sum of money was left to Rebozos wife. I gathered that information, what? A full time "journalist" like Fulsom couldn't?? It's time these lies are corrected, for each tiny lie adds up to a bigger picture in the minds of those who like a steady diet of rumor and speculation.

Also, did Fulsom ever LISTEN to any of the candid private conversations between President Nixon and his friend Rebozo? Not only were they brief and unremarkable, with President Nixon hanging up after only two minutes. But President Nixon often referred to his belief that Rebozo was a "ladies man" In one conversation, NIxon laughingly chides Rebozo when Rebozo failed to attend the Johnson funeral ceremonies in Washington choosing instead to fly out direct to Texas Nixon Laughingly chides Rebozo that Rebozo passed up the state funeral in Washington in favor of the opportunity to fly out to Texas direct with a Miss America beauty Queen, Anita Bryant no less. This does not sound like a conversation between men who harbor secret desires for one another. In fact, much of the conversations between Rebozo and Nixon relates to weather reports, will the weather be nice enough to come down? The Presidents interest in how people in Florida were receiving his policies and finally Nixon would review how his speeches were received, what did Rebozo or the people in his bank think of this or that.

Another reason why President Nixon has come under attack are the so called "homophobic" remarks prominently displayed on YOUTUBE which unfortunately have incorrectly, I firmly believe, transcribed Nixon as saying, regarding homosexuality, "I don't mind the homosexuality, I understand it." Now, I have listened to this passage many times and it's pretty clear to me that President Nixon did Not say I understand "it" He said I UNDERSTAND, and then there is a BUMP where the censor cuts in right after the word "Understand" and bleeps through some 14 seconds. Posters on YouTube have had a field day with what he might have said. But I believe he was naming some people he knew to be homosexual whom he nevertheless RESPECTED! And not anything revealing about himself. But the faulty transcription and the bump from the censor which causes people to hear the word it, and the bleep have caused Nixon to appear both homophobic and mysterious. I had asked the YouTube poster to fix the error, that his transcription is being used ALL OVER THE WEB! But he did not. If you think this is a small concern, think again! This transcription should be fixed, and if names are omitted for the privacy of others the transcription should say so.DJChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17145569421709101347noreply@blogger.com
